Accessing Service Calendar from Sales

Hello, our company uses CRM online and mainly makes use of the Sales aspect- seeing as the only calendar available to use is the Service Calendar, is there any way to make that an option from the dropdown on Sales? As of now it's only available from the Service dropdown. I couldn't seem to find the option in customization. Thanks!

    Hi Jean,

You will have to modify the Site Map.

Use XrmToolBox to do the modification. You can download it from here.

    https://xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com/

You can find step by step here

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi Jean,

    Yes, it is possible.

You can either put this Service Calendar to the Dashboard.

    missdynamicscrm.blogspot.com/.../want-to-see-service-calendar-on-crm-2011-2013-dashboard.html

Or you can modify the sitemap,

First of all you need to download the sitemap editor as a tool part of XrmToolBox

    xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com

then create a new sub area and modify the link to the URL:

    /sm/home_apptbook.aspx

    or

    crm.servername/.../home_apptbook.aspx

Or you can create a webresource with a Iframe Inside that and in your sitemap editor just refer to the new Web resource HTML with containing that Iframe to that URL (can refer to my first link)

I hope this can help you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jean,

Service Calendar is mainly used for scheduling service activities. Since you don't use Service and are mainly Sales focused you can check the CRM Calendar (this is different from service calendar). Unfortunately, it is hidden by default but you can enable it as described below. It is less popular feature as customers generally use their Outlook calendar and sync CRM activities there.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Mamatha,

I have seen the CRM Calendar option, however I have found on there that not all users can see one anothers appointments, which is what we want. Is there a way to change that?

How would you go about syncing activities with Outlook calendars? That seems like a good option.

    thanks!

    Hi Jean,

Can you check if the users are able to view others appointments in CRM (not calendar but using any appointment views)? Suspect that it has to do with security role than with calendar.

You can install CRM for Outlook (outlook client) and sync the required info into Outlook. Appointments and Tasks from CRM get syncd to Outlook calendar

    Refer

    www.microsoft.com/.../set-up-crm-for-outlook.aspx

    www.microsoft.com/.../synchronizing-data-with-outlook-or-exchange-faq.aspx

    Hope this helps!
