    Yes, CRM uses SQL server to provide the database engine, and like most databases it uses tables for this (it uses some views as well, but views don't *store* data).

    I think you could probably answer this and many other questions like it with about 5 minutes of reading a handful of articles online.

    Hi Ken

    The CRM Uses SQL Server as its database, and it provides Filtered Views on the CRM Database which the CRM API Uses to perform its messages and transactions rather than SQL statements to protect the CRM database from unsupported queries, this will protect your crm from breaking when your making customisations and changes. Yes just like any other database the CRM utilises tables, and the easiest way to understand CRM from a database perspective is by thinking of each entity ( such as lead / account / contact etc) as a Table ( even though it may possibly involve more than 1 table)

    I highly recommend you download the following documents which includes the crm schemas https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=41669

    heres an example below;

    Let me know if you need any help, Kindly tick 'Yes' to Verify :)

    Best Wishes, Raz
