Hi All,

Can I customize Dynamics CRM Controls ? I want to prevent access to fields on the main screen. (Just like the created by field) Is this possible? If possible how can I do? Please follow pictures. In fact, I want to add the filtering area to all the entities I want to do, as in classic screens.

1. I added Editable grid.

One way to achieve this would be to setup business rules, as they also apply to editable grids (as long as the fields that are part of rule are present in the view).

    Hi Henry,

I'm sorry for late response. Related field already read only on the form. However, content can be entered in views. Can you follow pictures ?

I understand that you have defined the "SAP Number" field as read-only on the account form, but fields cannot be defined as read-only on a view definition.

Are 2 workarounds you can explore:

    1. Create a business rule (for example: if "Created On" contains data, make "SAP Number" read-only, and apply the rule with an entity scope).
Create a business rule in Microsoft Dataverse - Power Apps | Microsoft Docs
If you use a business rule, you need to make sure that all fields that are part of the rule are also present in your view as columns.

    2. Use "field-level security" to secure the "SAP Number" field. You would then need to explicitly grant read access to that field in the Field Security Profile and associate the appropriate users and teams with it.
Field-level security - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs
