Hi experts,

I am here for you to clarify my doubts on production order

I have not able to come with end that how we can make production order and what is the use of consumption journal and output journal is used for .

And why the Qty on Prod.Order not getting connected with Qty on Inventory .

if there is any way as we make Prod.order will get result in increase/decrease in Qty on Inventory.

Can you anyone please explain the whole production order in standard format .

And  I verified the document which l can't able to design it as the flow of process.

Thanks & Regards.

    Cliff Note Version Here.

    Production Order defines:

    1. What is being Made (Finished Good or Sub-Assembly)
    2. What is being Used (Bill of Material Consumption)
    3. What the process is (Route; Work/Machine Centers used)

    Processing of the Production Order:

    • The Consumption Journal is used to record the reduction of raw materials from Inventory and applies the cost to the Production Order.
    • The Output Journal is used to record the time/cost allocation of capacities (Work/Machine Centers) to the cost of the Production Order.
    • The Output Journal is also used to record the increase of Inventory for the Finished Good, but only during the last Operation defined in the Route.
    • Optional: The Production Journal (available on Released Production Orders) can process both the Consumption and Output entries at the same time.

If you are experiencing issues with any of the above, you should reach out to your BC Partner for support.

    Hi,

    1. Production Order--> This document is used for making planning of FG Item. As per the defined BOM, components of FG Item are also get and enter in the Production Order Component Lines.

    2. Output Journal--> This document is used for increasing FG Item Inventory.

    3. Consumption Journal--> This journal is used for decreasing Inventory of RM means Item which is in Component Lines.

According to the above three steps, your inventory is updated.
