Hello,

Is there a way to see the distribution account on a credit memo that has been posted and applied in the AP module?  I need to verify that the gl account used correpponds to the one that was used at the time recorded the item purchased.

Thank you,

Esther Perez

    Hi Esther,

Click on Enquiry >> Purchasing >> Transactions by Vendor.Make sure to tick the 'History Transactions' tick box.

Select the relevant vendor ID and highlight the Credit Memo in question.

Click the Document Number link to drill back - and then click the Distributions button.

    Ian,

Thank you very much for replying.  I did this but the payables distribution zoom window that pops up is blank.

    Thank you,

    Esther

    Understood.

Looks like corrupt data. The Distribution records are missing or damaged.

What version of Dyamics GP are you running?

Are you familiar with running SQL queries? If I sent you one would you be able to run it?

First off - I would run a check links on the Payables Transaction files.

Always best to back up your data before you run a check links.

    Best regards,

    Ian.

I am running Dynamics GP 2010.  I am not familiar with running SQL queries.  However, if you sent me one I would forward it to my IT Dept.

    Best,

    SELECT * FROM PM30600 WHERE VCHRNMBR = '??'

Replace ?? with the voucher number of the credit memo.

This checks the Distribution History table for GL distributions related to that document number.

This should return at least to lines - each one representing a distribution line for that document.

    If this returns nothing, run:

    SELECT * FROM PM10100 WHERE VCHRNMBR = '??'

This checks the Distribution Work table for GL distributions related to that document number.

    Try the above for starters.

How old is the Credit Memo?

Would it have been brought in as part as the Opening Balances when yo implemented GP first?

It is fairly recent.  It was posted in July 2012.  Also, I noticed the document number is CREDIT CARD.  Would this affect the distribution?
