When browsing CRM through connections external to the company domain (3G, home ADSL etc.) user's records wont open from the 'Views' page. Users must "Open in a new tab/ window" or else the following error occurs

The page cannot be displayed -  the error Code

"Technical Information (for support personnel)

•Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The request was rejected by the HTTP filter. Contact the server administrator. (12217)"

Typical steps preceding the error

1. Open CRM Home Page

2. Left click on sales from the dropdown

3. Left Click on Accounts

{The User now by default sees "My Accounts}

4. When the User left clicks on a record the error comes up. User has to right click and select, "Open in a new Window" /-"Tab"

The CRM version is 2013, RU1, On-Premise

The Entities applicable - ALL

The browsers are ALL - Mozilla/ Chrome/ IE (versions 9 up to 11)/ Safari

Devices applicable are ALL - from Tablets/ PC/ Laptops

Anyone had this issue? Any advice on how to fix it?

Thanks in advance

    Hello WANNA-BE-EA,

It sound like an setting on the firewall used to publish CRM.

"The request was rejected by the HTTP filter" sounds like ISA/TMG.

    Look at this:

So when the rule is created, You need to right click on the rule and select "configure http"

And then untick  "Verify normalization" & " Block high bit characters"

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,
