Migrating Matrix Items

We are in the process of migrating from the Intuit POS to Dynamics RMS.  We are trying to migrate our existing item/product data into RMS and want to imjport the data into Matrix Items.  However, we cannot seem to find a clean way to do this.  Any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated.
