Accessing an External Live Application from CRM 4

Hi Everyone,

I have the following scenario,

There is one live web application which has lot of clients specific details which is not constant but keeps changing from time to time.

Now, How is that, i should be able to call that application from CRM based on the customer number which is also an attribute in CRM and display all the details in an Iframe or anything like that

Could someone tell me which is the best effective way to acheive this.

Any help or suggestions in this regard is highly appreciated...

    Hi Edwin,

    If this other external application is a web based application, you can probably display it in an iframe in crm 4.  You will need a bit of javascript to create the url for displaying it in a crm 4 iframe.  In addition, may also have to create or find out how to create this url so it pulls up the specific contact.

    This is often done with a parameter such as www.myapp.com/getcontactid=xxxxxx where xxxx is the contact id that is in crm and in your web application.

    Thanks for your time in this,

    Yes, It is an asp.net web application, so we can probably display the same in the IFrame.

    But, In my case, we have to pull certain information from that application and display the page in the Iframe, can it be accomplished ?

     So, what are the details i require from that application like a webservice or something like that.If you could give me some insights it would be really great... Thanks
