vendor based purchase price to be shown in purchase order

Dear members,

Kindly help me to meet my requirement in the matter referred below.

Consider that I am making a purchase order for an item "X". I had purchased the same item with multiple vendors. When I am creating a new purchase order, the item's unit price is auto populated(based on the last purchase price). But I need the purchase price to be populated based on the vendor which I purchased from him last. In simple words, If I purchase the item 'X' for an amount "Y", this amount has to be displayed when I choose that vendor.

Is there any inbuilt functionality exists that will help me out to meet out my requirement ? Is there any setups that has to be enabled to make this happen ?

Thanks in advance,
M Saravanan

Yes. You can make of Trade Agreement Journal.

Account selection use - Table and select the desired vendor and Item combination.

    Hi,

Current purchase price can be supported for purchase orders by following functions:
    - Option 1: Default Purchase Price on Item Master
    - Option 2: Purchase Price Type Trade Agreement Journals
    - Option 3: Purchase Agreements

And last purchase price is supported only for master items not relating to vendor. If your company usually works with a single vendor for each item, this approach populates automated lastest prices on the purchase order lines. But if you use a different vendor, you’ll only have to manually adjust your purchase order lines. Can not approach latest price of each vendor.

Conclusion: All the above functions are not available for your requirement (purchase price to be populated last purchse price based on the vendor).

Therefore, you need a customization for this requirement.
