.NET Framework Error when using "Set Regarding"

Hello,

One of our user receives a .NET Framework error when doing a "Set Regarding" on an email.

We use CRM 2013 on premise with Update Rollup 1. He has .NET Framework 4 installed on his computer.

What's especially strange is the red crossed squares(see hereunder picture) that prevent us from troubleshooting the issue.

When we upgrade to NET Framework 4.5.1 the problem is sovled but we do not understand why this occurs all of a sudden.

He used the Addon for months without coming accross this issue.

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

I have just had a customer with the exact same thing.

When he tracks new emails and when he tried to reopen the errors kept coming up.

He has all the .Net Frameworks Updates applied but the company is having issues with the client anyway. It makes Outlook very slow and quite often becomes unresponsive.

All the diagnostics and changes we have tried have not helped their latency and bandwidth are fine, the only issue is that he has 4 Gb of Ram on Win 7 Pro (I know its min.) but within parameters.

Versions of CRM and Client matches (CRM online 2013 – Client 2013)

Trying to uninstall and reinstall - the Client and hope that this works.

It turned out that we got these simply due to the plugin being disabled every time it was loaded, when you enabled the plugin this issue was not there until next login. We changed the load behaviour value in registry editor to prevent it from disabling on load and this resolved the issue.

This is definitely a .NET Framework issue. You will need to install updates for .NET Framework to resolve this.

I've recently had a customer come to me asking the same thing as they've had a similar issue but it's happened to a number of users not just one.

    Anybody have any ideas?

I am not too happy about upgrading .Net Framework to version 4.5.1 when it is not affecting everyone in this Citrix environment. Could it be a group policy or something else that causes these Red lines to appear?

We have come across exactly the same issue. Ours is in a Citrix environment, so you would think that if this was purely down to .Net Framework causing the issue it would happen for all users and not just one? We will see if we can upgrade to 4.5.1 to resolve this issue.
