View data of users in dashboard without being a manager

Hello

We are onCRM 2016 on premise version.

We are using manager hierarchy and views are configured on reporting hierarchy.

We have a requirement- a user who is not a manager should be able to see that data thru dashboards.

Is this achievable?

A combination of manager and position hierarchy—

    You can enable security role based access to the dashboards. Assign the security role of the user for this dashboard.

    Refer below

    This kind of access remains same even after inception of Hierarchical Security in 2015 Update1....

    Thank you for the response Pavan.

    We are able to share the dashboards. However the views that the dashboards use are based on reporting hierarchical which is owner = current user or his reporting hierarchy.

    Since the user is not a manager , there is no data in the dashboards.

    With the assumption that user had read access to that entity to see the data in the views.

    You create a separate dashboard for user security role and set this as default, so any one who logs in with user's security role should be able to see data in views.

    Same filter criteria can be used here as mentioned above, please try this and let me know if this worked for you....

    We have dashboards created and shared with manager. THe views in the dashboard are filtered on owner = current user or reporting hierarchy.

    Let's say A report to M. WHen M see the dashboard, he can see M and A owned records. The same dashboard is shared to team lead - T who has the same role as manager M.

    WHen T see's the dashboard, there is no data of A or M since T is not marked as manager.

    In salesforce there is option to view the dashboads as another user feature , wanted to know if CRM has the ability to do that.

    Hi,

    You have to create separate views for this. Create charts with these views and create a separate Dashboard with these views/charts will solve the issue.

    All the views are based on owner=current user or his reporting hierarchy

    We have 3 users let’s say thank TM(team member) reports to M(manager)

    TL(team lead) also reports to M

    Our requirement is TL should be able to see the same records as M

    Hence made TL as the manager of M

    With the above TL is able to see M+TM records

    But M is not able to see TL records

    Can we mark M as the manager of TL?

    Note: TL is already marked as manager for M

    With the above change- making user each other’s manager will we run into any recursive issues

    Will the system support?

    We ended up using the delegate field on the user form. We marked TL as the delegate of each of the TM. Modified our view to include the condition  delegate to current user.
