This post is directed to those that may have migrated to BC from Dynamics SL. Did you utilize the SL migration tool and when mapping your subaccounts to dimensions did you include the default or 0 subaccount segments values. Just curious.
In most SL → Business Central migrations using the SL migration tool, companies typically do not bring over default or “0” subaccount segments as active dimensions in BC; instead, only meaningful subaccount segments that add reporting value are mapped to dimensions, while default/00 segments are either excluded or mapped to a single generic value if technically required. In SL, zero segments often just complete the account structure, but in BC dimensions are analytical, so migrating all 0 values usually adds unnecessary complexity and bloats dimension combinations without adding reporting benefit. Best practice is to map only business-relevant segments and avoid carrying structural placeholders into the BC dimension model.
