I'm ready to expand my world and dive into JS. I have little to no experience, but am a fast study. Can you recommend resources?

Hi Deb,
I did not want this to go unanswered, but I am not sure what to say either since it really "depends"
You might try this to start with:
www.w3schools.com/.../js_statements.asp
developer.mozilla.org/.../Introduction
As far as JavaScript for CRM goes, personally I learned from a few sources: SDK samples, Dynamics documentation, and all those blogs..
Hi Debra,
Hope this helps

As you plan to study JavaScript to be used for Dynamics CRM/365. You should focus first on the basic set of the language and after the specific function set of Dynamics.
Also consider that with the new version some of the functions of Dynamics will change syntax, so learning the basic set should be the first thing.
What I mean with basic set? JavaScript was created with the web in mind, so it has also functions to edit the content of the webpage, functions that most of the time can't be used inside CRM.
Other users suggested you some courses, but concentrate first on the basic programming, like "if conditions" "for cycles", "assign variables", "convert string to nums and viceversa", "define custom functions"
to test the javascript code there are many editors online, the one I personally use is
http://js.do/
you just need to put the code between the <script> tag and click Run
Thanks everyone. I'm self taught on everything so understand basic programming. I was hoping for syntax which is applicable to CRM. I recall one of the MVPs was putting together a course specifically for JS in the CRM world. I'm also going to the CRMUG Nashville Summit so will attend what I can related to JS.
Mitch Milan is one MVP that do courses also related to JS. Check his site

in the Free Stuff section there is also an introduction and a learning plan
Here's a few more:
"Get started with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Web API (client-side JavaScript)"
msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334279.aspx
Static Typing for JS might be worth looking at if you're starting out:
