Error: job has not been reported as finished.

Hi,

Before I started the production, I verified the inventory.  All the raw materials are available (more than enough) for this production order.  After Started the production, then Reported as Finished, I had this error below.  Where should I look for the root cause? How do I fix this error?  Thanks so much!

Thanks, Rahul.  I did revert it and started fresh, but it came back the same error "Job has not been reported as finished".  On the Route card, if I marked "BOM completed", then it worked, but I'm not so sure what it does to the whole process in terms of GL posting.

As Christoph has suggested, I created a new Route card without quantity.  I'm testing the revert as well.

Yes, you have to create a new journal and revert the information. Unfortunately there is not automatic function available. You have to enter the information manually.

I see.  I didn't know that I could use the operation numbers alone without other quantities/information on the Route card.  Let me view the inventory on-hand before and after.  Also, I can revert the Route card, can I?  Thanks.

    Hi Kim,

It seems, you had activated the automatic BOM consumption. Please double check the consumed material in the BOM. In here you can compare the estimated and consumed material. If it it to high you can correct the consumption to get the calculation and stock quantities (if there are stocked materials) correct.

In addition it seems you posted additional hours again, isn`t it? If you have this situation you can correct this as well by another journal. otherwise your hour consumption (costs) are to high.

The idea was just to end the operations without any additional transactions to be able to close the production order. So just the operation number and the checkbox "operation completed" would be necessary. All other fields, options and checkboxes should be not used.

    Hi Christoph,

I created the new Route card and posted it.  Does that mean I now have 2 routes cards and overstated the consumption?  I can't seem to find the voucher for this posting. Thanks

    Hi Kim,

the two form show you already created journals. If they are already posted you cannot post them again. To solve your problem you have to create a new route card journal. Then you have to add lines. One line per operation and activate the checkbox „end“. Then post the journal and you are done.

Thank you, Christoph, for your response.

My Route card is in Process.  The Post button is not active.

My Job card is empty.  Please suggest what steps I have missed.   Thanks so much!Route-Card.png

    Hi Kim,

If you check the production order list page you will find a menu item called „all jobs“. In this sub menu will will find one or more records for every singe operation. Typically there is a „run“ and „process“ job per Route Operation but it depends on your setup. To finish these jobs you have to post a „job card“ Journal or a „route card“ journal. Inside the journal you have to activate the“end“ Checkbox.
