Hi,

How do I add a field (Call From) from Phone calls in Activity, as search criteria in Advance find.

I see the field in Views and add columns but I'm not able to search using Call From and Call To field in Advance find.

You need to edit the Quick Find View - Then add whatever fields you need

    Thank you!

The field has been added but I couldn't still see  as a listed field to search in Advance find. It is weird.

    Hello Luxi.

Check the settings of the field.

Go to Settings - Customizations - Customize the system - entities - [your activity] - fields

Search for the field in the list and open it with a double-click.

Have a look for the option "Searchable". YES or NO?

    It is Yes, Karsten.

Not sure what is causing this. I see it in the views to  add as a column. Also I see in the form. The field is searchable but not listed as search fields in Advance Find.

    Hi Luxi,

You are trying to search in Advanced find for the Activity entity?

If so, the Activity entity only shows the common fields between all Activity types, for exemple Description.

The specific fields for one Activity entity (Phone for exemple) can show all the specific Phone fields.

If you are in the Phone entity in the Advance find, then you can select the column that you want to list by adding it.

If you already added the fields to a view, you can select the specific view in the Advance find right side.

    Miguel, Thank you!

Though it has been added to the Phone entity as a field and  added in views, It does not appear as a select field in the advance find for Phone.

    Hi Luxi,

    Let's go by parts.

You added the fields to the views and published the entity.

After when you go to the Activities in the menu and select All Phone Calls to list the records, you can see the column there?!

If you open the Advance Find windows, select the Phone entity and click on the edit columns, you can see the field there to be selected?!

If not, it might already be selected for the result, press Results to see if you can see the column.

By the way, are you trying to add the field as a column or as a filter field?

If is a filter field, you need to go to the field and enable the option Search - Yes, so it can be added as a filter field.

    Hi Luxi,
From and To are of type Activity Party List for phone and they are not available to apply filter in Advance Find.
Default property of this attributes for 'IsValidForAdvanceFind' is False in metadata, so they cannot be used in Advance Find to filter.
Instead if possible you can use Regarding to filter the records. But you can try following query in advance find.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks,

Yes Miguel. All the above steps done. As Inogic mentioned below. I have to try it.

You have to filter like the way Sam from Inogic said. Since the fields standard from Call From (or Call to) are the Party in the Activities, so you'll have to put like that.
