The "A duplicate key exception occurred" error during sales picking of a batch-enabled and LP-enabled item in Dynamics 365 F&O typically happens due to conflicts in key assignments, often related to license plate (LP) positions or batch tracking.

Possible Causes & Solutions

Check for Duplicate Entries

Ensure that the batch and LP data do not have duplicate records in the system.

Run a query to check if the same LP or batch number is assigned multiple times.

LP Position Feature Conflict

If you recently activated LP position tracking, it may be causing conflicts.

Try disabling LP position tracking temporarily and see if the error persists.

Database Integrity Check

Run a RecId sequence check to ensure that the system is not generating duplicate keys.

If necessary, reset the sequence using SQL scripts.

Clear Cache & Refresh

Log out and log back in after a few minutes.

Perform a full system refresh to clear temporary conflicts.

Review Picking Profiles & Work Templates

Ensure that the work template for picking does not have conflicting LP assignments.

If using batch reservation, verify that the batch is correctly allocated.
