Configure Dynamics CRM Online - Enter your domain name?

Hello ,

When configuring Dynamics CRM from within an existing O365 deployment the first question our customer gets is:

Enter your domain name

*Domain

Example : contoso.com

What does this wizard means by domain name? Do we need to enter the customer's regular domain name, fe customer.com? Why do we need to enter a domain name here?

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

If it is the CRM for Outlook configuration then simply enter the Login ID and then proceed ahead,

    Thanks,

    Hi guys,

To make things clear, I am not talking about configuring clients.

This is about configuring the CRM instance from withing the O365 portal. I configured multiple CRM environments and never came across this configuration page/question. Normally you have to select your unique name (xxx.crm4.dynamics.com) and set things like base language & valuta.

When this specific customer is trying to create his CRM instance the first question they get is "enter your domain name (fe contoso.com).

I am getting the same issue - every time I try to access CRM from O365 it asks me to enter the domain and some other details and only then allows to progress to the CRM online instance. It works fine if log in directly to <domain name>.crm4.dynamics.com

It does not allow to access CRM admin from O365 portal either...

    any ideas?

Did you ever get an actual answer on this? Everything online seems quite vague!

    Thank you for your help.
