'Bin does not exist' error on Put-Away Worksheets

We moved warehouses earlier this year and replaced a lot of the bin numbers so they follow an alphanumeric sequence as that seems to be best practice for warehouse management. On the following error bin we deleted this off (P1.D1.2E1) so when you go to...

PUT-AWAY WORKSHEETS > ACTIONS > FUNCTIONS > CREATE PUT AWAY...

You get the following error...

The Bin does not exist. Identification fields and values: Location Code='WH01',Code='P1.D1.2E1'

The simple solution to fix this is to add the bin number back in, but is there a way to just ignore this as I don't get why it should be worrying about this bin now it is deleted when doing a put away?

Any advice would be great!

    This seems unusual.

Have you somehow got an entry in the Bin contents table for this bin?

The bin contents is empty, it seems like it is remembering where the last place it put an item or something? not sure where that data would be stored?

This is my Put-away Template - it could be something to do with this? Seems to be looking for a previously existing bin without checking that it does not exist?

    Hi.

The Put-Away worksheet lines carry the To Bin code that will be copied to the Warehouse Put-Away.

If the bin was deleted after the creation of the put-away worksheet, the old code will still be in the line and cause the error when you try to create the warehouse Put-away.

I suggest you use Configuration Package on table Whse. Worksheet Line and you delete the To Bin code field in the Put-away worksheet line.

That will help with the error so you can create a put-away.

Next time you receive that item, you should not see the error.

I'll take a look at that next time i get the error as i've had it twice and just re-created the bin to resolve it.

Highlighting the product and bin i might be able to work out a bit better what is going on. As i can look through the history of the product.

It seems to me that the default put-away would use the "last bin" however if that last bin is deleted it causes an error, so possibly a slight bug on BC which would need an additional check to see if the bin still exists.

These put-aways were created after the warehouse was all moved and old bins deleted so doesn't seem like it is something to do with that?
