Security to Newly Created Report?

Hi:

After having created a new report for Business Central using Application Language, what sort of security needs to be granted in the "Users" and "Permission Sets" screens for someone to be able to view this report?

Security to Newly Created Report?

Make sure Report have ApplicationArea = All, in report property.

You can create a permission set in AL language as extension.

Using below command you can create permission set.

permissionset 50500 Development

{

Assignable = true;

Permissions = report "Customer - Order Summary1" = X;

}

Same permission set assign to user.

Namaste John ,

To make a report visible, set the ApplicationArea property to All in the report properties.

Then, assign the Execute permission in the permission set, and ensure that any dependent tables used in the report are also included with the required permissions.
