Set Business process flow as default for a form

Hi,

I have an opportunity form with a business process flow. I have also created a new process flow for Orders Entity.

How can I make it default for the Orders form when a user opens it. The user has to select "Switch Process" in order to see the process flow but I want it there by default upon opening the form.

Thanks

Ok. I see the problem. I can see the process flow when I want to create a new order. but when I open an existing order, I don't see the process flow.

    Hi Narbeh,

    Refer to this thread: community.dynamics.com/.../239090

You can make a a BPF the default by specifying the Security Role.

    Hi Thomas,

I want the business process flow to be enabled and in-use by default for the Orders form. The users shouldn't select the process flow by himself.

The issue is If I create a new Order, I see the process but for the previously created orders I don't see them. Maybe I have to insert the ProcessID to the Table of SalesOrder but I wonder, If my newly created Orders will have the process flow since they're created automatically using a Workflow.

If no idea, then I'll have to wait and see.

    Thanks

    Hi,

In the Business Process Flow window, you can Set Process Flow Order.

When you have more than one business process flow for an entity (record type), you’ll need to set which process is automatically assigned to new records. In the command bar, select Order Process Flow (shown in red in the screenshot below). For new records or records that do not already have a process flow associated with them, the first business process flow that a user has access to is the one that will be used.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Nithya,

How would you deploy a change like the one you describe above? I made a similar modification that I would like to export as apart of a custom CRM solution (to be imported into another environment). However, I can't find the process flow order on my entity.

    Thanks!
