Portal not displaying properly

I have a strange issue with the portal not displaying properly and am not sure where to look to fix it.

The Navigation Bar at the top of the screen overlays the edit box you get when logged in as an administrator, and the menu for user login does not drop down.

Any ideas where to start?

    Did you make any changes in Portal OOB Bootstrap.cc file or in webtemplates?

    Have you checked that there is any reference in console window?

    Hi Arpit,

    I hadn't made any changes to the OOB bootstrap or theme files.  In case they had become corrupted I deleted the Web Files, then readded them with some clean version of the files that I got from another forum answer.  This made no change.  I also tried different browsers, clearing the cache, restarting the portal - all with the same no result.

    I'm getting to the point where I may look to remove the complete portal and reinstall/rebuild it.

    Can you try clearing the cache and restart the portal?

    If the above doesn't solve the issue and you haven't done any customization then you can reset the instance which will rollback to its original state
