US 2009 Year-End Update 10.0

Posted on by 20

We installed the US 2009 Year-End Update and it seemed to work with no errors. But the "Last Year-End Update" date still shows 11/14/2008. Does that mean it didn't update properly? Has this happened to anyone else?

I had the same issue in the terminal server environment.  When I checked the dex.ini file on the Application server where we actually installed the server update, the date was fine.  So I updated the dex.ini fil on the terminal server client as mentioned in previous reply's.

We got this response from Microsoft Support:

"it is very common that this field is not updated when your workstation is on a terminal server environment. This could be caused by the terminal environment not updating this workstation’s Dex.ini, this workstation not having its own Dex.ini, or the Dex.ini file being set to read-only. This field can be updated in the Dex.ini file to the correct date. LastTaxCodeUpdate=

You can also verify by going to Tools| Routines| Payroll| Edit W-2 and make sure the Third Party Sick Pay checkbox is showing."

We just checked the version info - ours is 10.00.1400 - on each workstation and assumed all is well...

Did you ever get a solution for this?  Ours is showing up as 11/14/2007 after running with no errors...
