Error in GP utility

When I am creating an additional company using GP Utility. when I come to the screen where I have to specify the location of New Database. the Location Icon is disable. I am installing application on application Server where as my database server is different.

When I try to enter the path manually it sill doesn't work. I have already map network drive and having complete administrator rights.

 

Please let me know.

    Hi Ajay, You could try installing with a default Database path and then move the database to the desired server and path. I hope this helps. Mohan

    If you want to create new company you must run the Utility on SQL Server

     Hi Guys,

    I had thought this option of installing locally then move to SQL Server database server. But there was another solution which I forgot but some other guy helped me and it worked.

    Solution : On application server, where we specify database path, we can actually provide SQL Server database path itself. like my SQL Server database path was F:\MSSQL\DATA\.  So I provided this path and it worked.

    Only thing is you should be reachable to SQL Server with Network.

    I thought let me share with you this but anyway thanks to everybody for reply.
