Hi, in CRM, except the existing search function, can I create search page for a customized search function, for example, in that page, people is able to fill out some search condition fields, and run search, and a result show up from a view, if it is not convenient in CRM itself, can we do it through ADX studio ?

Thanks

    Hi,

It can be done but it won't be easy, and I don't think ADX will do it.

You'll need to build a an html page with your layout using javascript to hit CRM. When you create your page, upload it to CRM as a web resource so you can access it from the app. Then you want to edit the sitemap and add an item called 'My Search' that shows your web resource. That'll let users see the search in the menu, click on it and get your new search page full-screen, and perform any functionality you want there.

Hope this helps! I'd appreciate if you'd mark this as Answering your question.

    Thanks,

     Aiden

The global search is much efficient and taking care of the most of the search requirement. Why do you want to create a new search.... is there any specification around it?

I could understand the requirement if you wanted advanced searching, like a name field, city field, etc., and they can search with whatever data they know. It could be across entities as well, like contacts in city X with orders over totaling Y over the last 12 months.
