Dropdown error - Version 16.1

Hello,

Sometimes fields that are table relationships do not show the dropdown for their related table. In addition, it occurs on pages that have a table as part of it, such as the job journal, purchase order ...

It happens to multiple users for what seems like a more general error. I am attaching a video where this behavior is appreciated:

    Thank you very much for your help, you have given me the confirmation I was looking for to rule out that it only happened in my environments.

    Thanks for extra information. I reinstalled the On-Prem version on Docker (16.1) and did a test. After about 16 times going through the same steps I saw the same behavior. I tried again and then it happened after about 12 times. It is strange because it is not happening in Sandbox (SaaS) version of docker.

    My recommendation is report this as a bug to Microsoft. But mention it takes multiple repeat of steps (for me between 12 to 16 times). Also, it only happens in on-prem version and not Sandbox (SaaS).

    Thank you very much for trying to replicate the problem. In the thread I explain that I have tried to replicate the problem in Cronus for quite some time and I couldn't. But, then, I comment that in the end I have achieved it and explain the steps to follow. You can watch the video in case you want to try to replicate it. The video is made with a company that is a copy of CRONUS, but I just replicated it in the original CRONUS company and the same thing happens. Although it is true that, sometimes, you have to replicate the steps a couple of times for the problem to occur.

    In addition, I have used the debugger of Visual Studio Code and it does not stop the execution at any time.

    What seems strange to me is that nobody has commented that it also happens to him... I just want to confirm this to rule out that it is a problem in the environments.

    Hi, thank you very much for contributing your idea. Unfortunately the problem occurs in different environments, to all users and regardless of the language used (I have replicated the problem by setting the language to English (United States)).

    Hi, Just a possibility, is it possible that this has something to do with language pack? Is it the same problem in English (United States)?

    Sometimes strange problems happen when you translate something that shouldn't be translated.

    I installed version 16.1 on docker and tried to replicate the issue. But as you mentioned it is not possible to replicate it in CRONUS.  This could be because of number if parts or transaction in CRONUS. My suggestion is ask your partner to investigate the issue. They may can use debugger to find the issue. Or ask them to open the ticket with Microsoft. But Microsoft me ask to recreate the issue in CRONUS.

    Hello, sorry for the delay in answering. I have been all these months observing the behavior and I was not able to replicate it in Cronus. In the end I got it as you can see in the video. It seems that when multiple pages are cascaded, then fields that are dropdowns lose behavior on their event. Sometimes, it shows the data as in the case of the video (although if you look closely there is no arrow in the drop-down) but if you click it a second time it no longer responds, and the other lines do not respond when you click with the mouse (I do it in the video although you may not appreciate it). Once the error occurs, it is only corrected by logging out, since if you navigate to other pages that have dropdowns, they will not show anything in those fields.

    Once explained, my question is the following: you have no record of it happening to anyone else? It is strange because it seems like a bug since it happens to all users and in different environments.

    Apologies, this is not development. Could you please try the same using a CRONUS company. This does look like something we should look into. Does this happen to all users?

    It is not a development, here is another example, in this case it is a purchase order. The No. field does not show the drop-down of the items, however, when logging in again, the system works correctly. Please, does anyone have any idea if it is a bug in this version?
