I have a rollup field which re-calculates every hour. If i do an advanced find the field does contain a value, but when i open the form the field is blank and i have to click the little refresh icon to show the number?

Is there anyway to have this auto refresh when the form loads? it is a real pain for the users.

If you have some logic which runs on the form load (opening a form), then it wont trigger unless you open the form. For this achieve without opening a form, you need to write some kind of scheduler which does the same operation which you do it on form load.

Bit confused, but i just need it to trigger and refresh when i open the form.

It is refreshing in the background as i can see the value in an advanced find, however the field on the form is empty until i click the refresh icon.

This rollup field is counting how many open activities there are and the record cannot be deactivated until the field equals zero.

I'm having a similar issue to this, where the rollup field is not refreshing every 12 hours (only updates when hitting the recalculate button).

Did you manage to find the root cause of the problem/solution for this?
