Modified Word Template Does Not Generate

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by

Hello:

This GP 2015 R2 client has a modified Word template for customer statements.

In GP's Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports window, this report is the default.

And, this Word template is assigned to the company.

But, when we try to generate the template, the original Word template appears - not the modified.

Even if we assign the modified template to one customer, the original template is the one that is still generated for that customer.

The other thing that is interesting about this is that, if the statements are generated using the GP Web Client, the modified template generates.  But, the original template is what generates for the Desktop version of GP.

Now, both the Original and Modified versions of the template are assigned as default for the company.  But, when we remove the original template as the default, the statement then generates to a web interface!

Regardless of the version, how do we get the modified template to generate for customers?

Thank you!

John

    Hi John

Do a quick check and make sure that the desktop client is pointing to the same reports.dic file as the web client is pointing.

    Hi,

Perhaps you have already done this, but I would only make the modified template as the default template for that company. I would also just use the company assignment and lose the customer assignment to test. If this doesn't work, create a new reports dictionary, a new clean modified template and just make a small change to it. See if that prints, it will test the modified part.
