Attach File to Service Order or Quote

Posted on by 222

Hi BC Guru's,

Is there any way to upload files to a service order or quote?

We looked in the attachments and didn't see anything.

    Hi Steve,

I did this, but they only want to tell how you can extend the service order page with the drag and drop functionality.

This functionality is present, but when you use it, you receive the message that the record is not open.

Did you have an other answer?

    best regards,

    Marco

    Hello,

Consider emailing Insight Works to see if they can add the DocXtender to the Service Order. They will tell you if it can be done.

    Thanks,

    Steve

    Hi

The only one is the paid app named Clever Document Link. See the link in my first comment here.

My suggestion is to contact micro-app (they have free version/see link in my first comment) and see if they can add it to their app.

    Thanks for the responses!

I have tried DocXtender but it does not support Service Orders.

Is there any extensions or add-ons that can be used to add attachments to Service Orders? Would prefer not to go the customization route.

    Hello,

Adding to MahGah's reply... Use DocXtender as the Attachment Fact Box will is not supported on the Service Order/Quote pages.

    Hi

I also checked and that option is not available on those pages. You may need a small customization for that. See below article as an example  https://yzhums.com/11177/  or

I also can see this idea which is under review. If accepted Microsoft will add it to those pages  https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=2e74ac75-f240-e911-867a-0003ff68b621

If you want to avoid small development the other option is to use free app such as Drag & Drop or DocXtender (Navxtender) and ask app developer to add it to those page. Even thought these apps are free sometimes developer is willing to do this

I know the following app has it available on those pages but it is a paid app.
