If I have two instances of GP installed on one server can I have two instances of Integration Manager installed on the same server, one for each GP instance?

I have a similar question - two instances of GP on one server, one for desktop, second for Web Client. How do I tell IM installer which instance to install the chunk file? It needs to be the non-web client instance which is unfortunately the default instance.
I can't say I've ever tried this but I wonder if it would be similar to if you need to install a service pack to only one instance of your GP.
The below article goes through that, question 13 to be specific.
https://mbs2.microsoft.com/Knowledgebase/KBDisplay.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;912997
Instead of pointing to the service pack file, it would be the path to the Microsoft_DynamicsGP14_IntegrationManager_x86_en-us.msi file (or whatever version it is).
Again, I've never tried it so not sure if it will work but this is kind of along the same lines to make sure you are installing something to a specific instance of GP.
Thanks Matt. I've used this for single-instance .msp updates, but not sure about installers. I just tried running the IntegrationManager.exe installer with a /? flag, but it does not return any installer variables.
My understanding was that IM only supports one instance/install per computer. It's possible something has changed, but I have never tried this either.
Thanks Victoria. That has always been my understanding as well, but find myself in a situation where I need to install it against a different instance of GP. The client upgraded with the mindset that they would use only the web client, then reality reared its head with 'why can't I run integrations?'. So we have users logged into the default instance (web client) of GP constantly to which IM is installed, and I've been unable to get anyone to commit to whether desktop users can share an instance with Web users. hence my need to install IM against a separate instance.
Hi Charles,
I just saw a separate thread on the partner forum where it looks like Microsoft has confirmed that you cannot have 2 installations of Integration Manager on the same machine. Here is the link: partnersupport.microsoft.com/.../d240f365-c1fd-433f-b9ee-a03bcf30bca0
