Web to lead from external web/html pages/forms

Hi,

In Sales-force I noticed that we can embed a simple code to any external web page/form and when the form is submitted, a corresponding record (lead, case, etc) is created in Sales-force. How could we achieve the similar functionality in Dynamics CRM?

Is it the API's we have to hit or web service calls we have to make?

This way we would even like to connect external third party ERP software to Dynamics 365 CRM online.

Any help. suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    Hi Mohd Tahir,

In Dynamics, we can also do this in many ways. You can create a web page and consume the dynamics web API for record creation in any entity. And you can also use Microsoft Flow

Check this "Create Dynamics 365 Leads from a Google Sheet using Microsoft Flow" here not need any code.

    Thanks

    Hi Abhishek,

If I go the API way, how would I authenticate to CRM from external sources(Web Pages)?

    Hello Mohad ,

You can create the .net web api which will generate the token using the crm credential and client id(You can get the client id from app registration in azure). And at the external web page on submit click, you need to call this web api and it will return the token. You need to use this token in the dynamics web api call, using this you can create lead or other entity record.
