Lookup Field for Address - CRM 2016

Hi,

I need adding a lookup field of Address entity in a custom form.  When i try to create the lookup, the list of entities does not show the 'Address' entity.

Please advise why is that and what can be workaround?  We use CRM 2016 On-Prem.

    The CRM "Address" entity is a special case and not listed.

    Thank you Frank. This is informative article.

    I have difficulty in understanding the final solution i.e.

    "I decided to keep the Address entity and use a work around.  Using JavaScript (custom coding), a developer can make it appear that a look-up was being used in the same way it does without coding in Accounts and Contacts. It will appear seamless for the user, and will update the out-of-box province/state field with the right information, nonetheless."

    Can you or other group members help me understand that please?  Thanks.
