Generating 1095-C to text file

Posted on by 1,045

I'm trying to generate the 1095-C form to a text file and GP keeps crashing just shy of 10,000 records.  I've tried the basic text file, tab, and comma-delimited files, but all fail.  I've moved the reports dictionary local and have created a new one.  I was able to create a .pdf file, but upon opening it, I received a message that Adobe Reader can't extract an embedded font.  I'll be trying html next, but really need it to generate a simple text file.

The purpose is to extract the data and send it to a print shop.  Yes, I can come up with different ways to extract the data, but the program should work as designed without having to fork over extra $, and time, to work around it.

Yikes, that's a lot of records!

Can you try creating smaller batches of records, say, 5000 at a time?

You can also try creating a DexSQL log. That can help your partner and/or Microsoft support diagnose the issue. Here is a link, with instructions:

    KB 850996 - How to Enable a Dexsql.log

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/850996

What is the purpose of this - is it meant to be your file copy of the forms? Possibly another option would be to extract the data in report form, either in Excel (via Microsoft Query), or Crystal, or SSRS, or direct SQL query.
