Inventory not syncing from Dynamics BC to Shopify

We run sync inventory on BC and it says success, but also an error logs:

The inventory is not updating in Shopify to reflect BC's stock. We have tried taking SKUs out of parent bundles but it still didn't work, and we can't operate without SKUs in Parent Bundles

    Hello,

    The error indicates that Shopify's API does not allow inventory adjustments for items classified as parent bundles, even if you're syncing from Business Central. Even after removing SKUs from parent bundles in Shopify, cached or residual bundle relationships might still block the update.

    To resolve this, ensure the SKUs are fully disassociated from all bundles (not just visually removed), and confirm the SKU is now treated as a standalone product in Shopify. You may also need to clear Shopify's product cache or re-sync the product catalog. Alternatively, consider managing bundle inventory in BC but syncing only the individual SKU quantities to Shopify via a custom API mapping that excludes parent bundles.

    This is a Shopify API restriction, not a Business Central one. Bundled (composite) items cannot have their inventory directly updated you may need to update the bundle’s inventory through the parent item logic
     
    You can also raise a support ticket with Shopify.

    Hi, This is a standard error in the Shopify API and I would suggest submitting the SR to Microsoft for their assistance in investigating.
    Or you can submit your question to the BC Yammer Group below and the Microsoft techies should give you a better response when they see it.
