I have been asked to assess a clients D365 BC cloud installation which is currently at v22.5.
The partner they are working with has customised standard reports eg. 208 Sales-Shipment, for the client which are not in the 50000 range. 
My understanding is that this should never be done. Am I correct or has something changed?
Advice please?

    New objects can only be put in the 50000..99999 range. 

    Standard objects can be extended, and object extensions don't require any assigments in licence.

    Also if you were working with an extension of the appsource it would be 70,000,000-74,999,999,999

    You are correct nothing is changed it is still 50000 range to be used in Customized objects and for AppSource it starts with 70,000,000
