In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, standard functionality exists for both Intercompany Transactions and Recurring General Journals, but there is no out-of-the-box feature that directly supports Intercompany Recurring Journals in a combined way (i.e., recurring journals that are intercompany by default).
Here’s how BC handles these two concepts:
- Intercompany Transactions:
Business Central supports intercompany postings, allowing you to:
Post transactions between multiple companies within the same BC environment.
Use the Intercompany General Journal.
Set up Intercompany Partners and mappings.
Navigate to: Intercompany > Intercompany General Journal
- Recurring General Journals:
You can create recurring entries such as accruals, amortizations, etc., using:
Recurring Method (e.g., Fixed, Variable, Reversing)
Recurring General Journals
Navigate to: General Journals > Recurring General Journal
