Difference of Action Pane 'Contact' and Fast Tab 'Contact'

Hello

Can someone explain the difference between the Customer and Vendor Master Contacts created from two different areas 1. Action Pain 2. Fast Tab?

The data created in two places seem to store contacts separately and I am trying to find the reason for that.

    The buttons in the action pane are related to contact persons. A vendor may be a company, such as Microsoft, and you may need information about specific people to contact.

    The "Contact information" section contains vendor's contact details, such as phone numbers and email addresses.

    Martin, Thanks for your reply.

    But where I am confused is the 'Contact information' fast tab that you can access from Action Pain > Vendor/ Customer  > Contacts is different from 'Contact information' fast tab on Vendor master/ Customer master.

    By look of it, it seems similar and storing similar information. But I created two different contacts from both places and they are saved separately in each page. trying to find the reason for these two separate data holders for the same information.

    These are contact information of different entities. Let's say you have a vendor, which is a company called Contose. And the company has a contact person, a guy called Fred which you can talk to about about invoices.

    The company has their generic contact details: email address info@contoso.com and the phone number of their call centrum.

    Fred has differenty contact details: email address fred@contoso.com and the number of his cell phone.
