Creating sales invoice for importing with integration manager

I am attempting for the first time to import sales invoices using integration manager. 

My question is to create an import for invoices would I need a SOP header file, SOP items file and SOP line file in order to accomplish this?

    You will need SOP header, SOP Items and SOP Distributions, Commissions are optional

    I've been importing sales invoices for several years.

    It's possible to do this using a SOP Header and SOP Line Item file.

    As long as all the information is there you could have the data in one file or multiple files. The trick will be in the query relationship and the grouping. Personally I prefer to dump everything into SQL and then have an indicator column that you flip after a successful import. I believe if you look at the query helper in IM it will provide an example.

    can you please let me know, what fields are required to accomplish this with receiving amount and trade discount , how would I set my distribution?

    'Amount Received' and 'Trade Discount'.  Allow distributions to default.  You'll also need to specify a checkbook to post the amount received to.
