Procurement category replacement with an item number

Hello all:

I am trying to see if there is a way to edit a line in a purchase requisition (or purchase order created from a purchase requisition) and replace the procurement category with an item number.

The scenario is as follows:

A worker in a mining operation identifies a need for a new product and creates a purchase requisition
because the product does not exist in the system yet, the worker uses a procurement category to submit the requisition
the purchase requisition is approved
The procurement department finds and creates the new product in the system
I now want to create a Purchase Order for that purchase requisition but want to replace the line with the procurement category with an actual product that I can receive and keep track of inventory wise

Can this be done? Any ideas?

Hi Esteban,

Approved purchase requisitions cannot be modified.

If this is the case, it is recommended that you process it offline and fill in the item number directly on the requisition form. If this is often the case, you need to change the workflow. The procurement department can recall the PR in review status after creating the related product, and then the preparer modifies the PR to item number and submit again.

Or you can only customize it.
