Business Central On Premises

I have a customer that is interested in a Business Central On Prem. implementation, and I'm concerned about the life cycle and the prospects for long term support of the on prem BC systems.  Is this still a viable option for BC?

    Hi, still a viable option.
    But there are many details that need to be explained clearly to customers.
    For example, Id Range requires charges, Universal code, each version has a life cycle of only 18 months, and requires manual upgrades, etc.

    Hi,
     
    As of today, there is no plans to sunset on-prem for business central.
     
    If that happens in future (assuming) then you will get sufficient time before it happens and it's easy to replicate from on-prem to SaaS.
     
    Just keep it mind that you keep your customer upgraded to supported release by Microsoft. At least upgrade customer every 18 months. 18 month is the lifecycle of each version.
