We have enabled SSO for CRM online and its working fine when we access CRM from browser. We just enter our UPN(emailId) and it redirects us to federation service and it takes credential automatically and gets into CRM without an issue.
But we are facing issue when we try to connect from plugin registration tool or USD client or our custom code (Oauth).
When we pass username as UPN and intranet password to connect it gives error. It is able to find my CRM instance bcoz I have provided my UPN but to get me authenticated it should consider my intranet details but it seems it is considering my UPN and password as combination.
We get below error.
Error : Federated service at https://<fegaderationendpoint>/usernamemixed returned error: ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized"
When we pass intranet logon details to connect. its not able to find the discovery service as its been linked with UPNs
Environment Details:
1. We have only synced users with Azure AD and not the password.
2. UPN and Intranet logon (Domain\username) is different.
Is something we missing? Please help.
