D365 BUS PREMIUM User Group and Permission Set

Hi,

I have come across a very strange issue in Business Central. As you know the user group D365 BUS PREMIUM will be assigned to users automatically once the user has gotten a premium license. However, what we have noticed is that if I would remove the user from that user group then the permission sets at the bottom do not disappear for users that have existed in BC for a longer period of time.

However, if I would "get users from Microsoft 365" to add new users and try the same things, meaning I tried to remove the user from the BUS PREMIUM user group and the permission sets that are part of this user group disappeared also from the bottom.

SO my question is, why does it only work for new users ? Why does the BUS PREMIUM & LOCAL permission sets (which are part of the D365 BUS PREMIUM USER GROUP) disappear for existing users as well ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

Is there a business reason why you want the user to be removed from that group?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

We looked into the effective permissions and we don´t want them to have as much permissions as this user group gives them.  I am not sure why this question is interesting for you but as I wrote above we are mostly interested to know why there is a difference between removing the user group from users who have been part of BC for a longer time, and those who have just been added to the users list as I mentioned in my post above.

    Thanks

    Hi

I know you probably tested this. But just in case

In user list can you select one of the users you mentioned then from Action try Refresh User Group and see the result. Then try Update user information from ...

    Thanks
