This looks like a customization issue.
I suggest you ask the developer to debug it first, the reason is as mentioned in the error message. It is caused by the consistent function.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.

This seems to be an issue caused by your custom extension, which is triggering the error. It is highly recommended to contact your Microsoft partner to review and resolve it.

    Hello,

Please check any Rounding Effect is not affected to Post the Sales Transaction.

Because Inconsistency error arise when Debit Amount and Credit Amount must not be same.

Or else you can check the Customization or Developments.

There could be a modification to the standard posting that cause the GL Entry to be inconsistent.
Please ask your partner to debug for you.

Do you have any custom codes working on top?
First attempt I would have given in uninstalling all custom extensions and then check.

    Hi DannyR,

I totally get how frustrating the “Inconsistencies in the G/L Entry table” error can be, especially after the BC 26.0 update. It’s a tricky one since it rarely tells you where the issue is.

To help with that, I built a small Business Central extension that tracks G/L entries in real time during posting. It pinpoints the exact entries causing the error — super handy for diagnosing the problem.

Here’s how you can use it:

    1. Install the extension in your BC environment
    2. Go to “Review G/L Inconsistencies”
    3. Click “Start Tracking”
    4. Try posting the sales order again
    5. The tool will log the inconsistent G/L entries so you can check what’s off

Some typical causes in BC 26.0 include rounding issues in multi-currency, unbalanced custom posts, dimensions, or VAT glitches.

You can find the extension here:
