Hello,
I've done some research, but I'm unable to find the answer to these questions.
Does anyone know this? I would appreciate it.
Best regards,
Ana.
Hi Ana Alves,
"Dynamics 365 BDMS -> It looks like it is Azure SQL? Is this correct?"
Not exactly. It uses a mixture of Azure SQL, Azure Blob, and Azure Data Lake. Please refer to this: What database does MS Dynamics 365 use to store its entities and records? Does CRM use its own database? - Microsoft Q&A
"Dynamics 365 for HR DMBS? -> I can't find the answer"
I'm unfamiliar with Dynamics 365 HR. You could post it at here for further help: Dynamics 365 Human Resources - Forums, Blogs, Support
Hey Ana.
If you read https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/backup-restore-environments there's a paragraph that says:
"System backups occur continuously. The underlying technology used is Azure SQL Database. See SQL Database documentation Automated backups for details". So it's correct: The underlying DB service on CRM is Azure SQL Database.
Regarding D365 HR, according to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/human-resources/hr-admin-setup-copy-instance, this is using Lifecycle Services (LCS)so probably, this is also using AzureSQL as DB service
