Hi all,

I'm trying to import op. Balances of G/L account , but when I'm trying to post the entries it gives me an error with says, that this " Document no. is out of balance please check posting date, document no. document types and amounts are correct"

Please note I'm not inserting any G/L balance account no.

Can anyone help me with the same.

Reference links will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I disagree with Nitin about setting up a dummy balancing account, though his method will work, it’s just not necessary and makes double the number of general ledger entries that you need and will never be used. The error you’re getting is because you have to have document numbers balanced by date. If you make your document number something like BEGBAL for all the entries they will post just fine.

    Hi Inkey Solutions,

You Might be doing dual entry  with two lines for the uploading the Balance.

Please try to enter Journal in same line

Where you can use Account Type , Account No., Bal Account Type and Bal. Account No.

I have attached one demo entry in below screen shot

    Hi Inkey Solutions ,

I will recommend please create any Dummy GL account No. to import the opening balances and put that in Balance Account No. while posting, without this I dont think system will allow you to post the data.

    Thanks.
