GP2010 is erroring when a inventory report is ran

I have an employee who needs to run a 25,000 total product inventory report once a week. When this is done, it gets to about 22,191 products and sometimes less, then has a nice " sorry gp had an error and needs to close" message. Details reveal a dynamics.exe issue with a offset error of 0000120e and modname: ntdll.dll error. I have done a reformat and install on a xp pro, on her machine. Installed GP2010 after all SP's were installed etc... My only successful run of this report was in safe mode with networking. I logged in under her domain credentials, and gp login. Under non safe windows, it fails time and time again when I try certain things. What could this possibly be? On a side note, if she logs in on another computer, using her credentials, it can be ran. But the reformat of her pc is a brand new dell 380 tower, different from her prior hardware setup...

    Are you using a local or shared reports dictionary? Are you using a modified version of this report? I would copy the REPORTS.DIC from a working computer to her computer and try to run the report. You could also make sure she is using the default version oft his report and not the modifed version.

    It's a smart list. This does not use a reports.dic.

    Is this WXP or W7? Try disabling any anti-virus software and turn off  UAC if W7.

    SmartList is really not the best answer for a report this size, tell me you are not trying to export this to excel :)

    If Excel is the answer, have you tried the totally unsupported Dex.ini switch of

    ListsFastExcelExport=TRUE or

    SmartlistEnhancedExcelExport=TRUE

    Kind regards,

    Hi,

    There are couple of things that you can check- Is excel version on two PCs (Re formatted PC and another PC used for testing) same? When she (user facing the issue) logged in from another machine, did she use her own windows credentials or logged in different windows credential but her own GP Credentials?

    However, as Leslie pointed out Smartlist is not a very good idea for such large report. You can try using Excel refreshable reports for it. You can deploy them at a shared location using Reporting Tools Setup window (Microsoft Dynamics GP menu >> Tools >> Setup >> System >> Reporting Tools Setup)

    You can watch some videos by Belinda about using the excel report. These are not specific to inventory reports but the idea is same
