Intercompany transactions do not get sent to the receiving company

Hi

We have a client who uses intercompany partners to send transactions between their companies.  The client has two environments set up (UK and DE).  We have had some issues with transactions from the UK to DE getting stuck in a series of buffer tables and none of the expected codeunits run to send the transactions from one company to the other.    Oddly, this is only an issue from UK to DE.  The UK company can receive transactions fine but cannot send them. 
 
To add to the confusion there are copy companies in the UK and DE production environment, these can send and receive the transactions with no issues but it does not work in the live production companies (I know this is bad practice to have test companies in production but I wanted to see if it was an issue caused by creating a sandbox).

I am unable to get a codeunit to run which will clear the buffer table by deleting the entries or by sending them to the intercompany partner.  The Microsoft Entra Application has the correct setup as required by Microsoft and the user sending the transaction has the same permissions in both the live and test companies.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

    If UK → DE transactions are stuck in the IC Outbox/buffer and nothing runs, it’s almost always a company-specific setup issue, not an environment or Entra App problem — especially since the copy companies work. In the live UK company, compare it carefully with the working copy for: Intercompany Setup, Intercompany Partner card (DE), Company Information → IC Partner Code, and whether the Send to Intercompany Partner action works manually from the IC Outbox. Also check that any Job Queue / background process related to intercompany is active in the live UK company, since job queues are company-specific. If manual sending works, it’s a scheduler/config issue; if it doesn’t, it’s a setup mismatch between live and copy.

    Thank you for your reply.

    I have previously compared the intercompany setups and a colleague completed this again this morning.  They are the same and the intercompany partner setup has a pop up box saying "intercompany partner is connected" or words to that effect in both the UK and DE company.  Manual sending has the same result, the transactions are stuck in the buffer table.

    I have compared the job queue log entries in the working and the non-working company, the working copy has successful jobs for codeunits 533 and 535 which are not present in the non-working company.  Neither company has a task in queue for these codeunits.  I have tried keeping a scheduled task for these codeunits running in previous sandbox tests with no success.
