AVA Tax vs GP Sales Tax

Dear All,

Can you please confirm what is the advantage of having AVA Tax for GP.  I understand if you have AVA Tax we don't have to create multiple tax ID on GP in order to sell different states different tax structure.  So if we use Tax ID within GP is it going to create lot of work for the user point of view, each time the tax rate changes.

    Babu, AVA Tax outsources the setup and maintenance of Tax schedules - they do it for you.  If you sell into many states and localities, it can save a lot of time that would otherwise be spent by someone in-house, maintaining the tax schedules.  A similar sales tax service is provided by CCH.

    Do you know how often the tax schedules getting changed in a year between different states across USA.

    No idea Babu, but it's not just states.  You have City tax, county tax, borough tax, etc.  Georgia, especially around Atlanta, has some of the most complex sales tax structures.  Tax rates differ even within zip code in Georgia.

    That exactly what I am looking for and maintaining this might be really cumbersome within GP without AVA.  Thanks for the kind clarification Frank.

    Come to New Zealand - ours is pretty easy - 15% or 0 (with the odd exception).
