"Update Batch Disposition code" Batch Job result in Error

The "Update Batch Disposition code" Batch Job result in Error if no record (of batch number that needs to be changed from unavailable to available) is found; when any batch number is found, it converts the batch disposition code and results in Ended, which is success. My question is how do we prevent the error?
