Marketing List - Is this possible?

I have an Excel file of e-mail addresses that I want to create a marketing list off of. However, the catch is that I do not want these e-mail addresses to be anywhere in CRM except for the marketing list. I do not want a lead, company or contact created. Is this possible?

    Hello SarahCom,

As far as I know it is not possible, OOB you can only add Leads,Account and Contacts to the marketing list, what about creating a new filed on the Lead entity for lead classification then importing your list to the lead entity with a specific category then add them to a marketing list.

    Hope this helps,

    Abed.

    hello,

The Marketing List just include one type of customer record, such as leads, accounts, or contacts. so you have to create then first then add yours emails.

    Sarah,

Marketing List entity only supports 3 entities: Account, Lead, Contact

If you want to send email or promotion you need to send to one of them

If you want to have another entity, you need to use workflow or using the send direct email method.

    Thanks.

    Hi Sarah,

Please explain why you do not with for any of the email addresses to exists as leads/contacts? Are you concerned someone else might capture these records?

    Hello,

Marketing list just like act a parent entity which can have three type of child entities account, lead, contact (but one type at a time), It does not store any details which can be use to send email so simply you can't do it.

In order to send email from CRM you have to create some type of record as suggested by other already, so you could import your data in CRM if you want to send email from CRM application.
