There are a lot of columns that I don't need to see when I receive a po. I want to move columns around or delete them.  How do I do this, please? And can this be a permanent fix for all purchase orders I receive, or do I have to edit every time?
I have the same question (0)

First of all, which D365 product are you using? The D365 brand covers quite a few things, such as Finance and Operations or Business Central.

    Hello,

You can do this with the help of Personalization Option available.

You can hide the columns which is not required. Note: it is based on roles for which you want to hide some columns.

You can hide the columns which are not required for the pages.

Note: This change will be applicable to your role/profile only.

    Hi,

I don't know what do you mean by PO is received. But if your requirement is to move columns in the PO Lines, you have three ways to do it -

    1. Personalize
    2. Design
    3. Via AL Code (you may contact your partner for this. Changes are permanent and are applied for all users)

Personalize is the easiest one among them. The changes are permanent, but these changes are user specific. Every user can personalize the screen in their own way. Here's how you can do it -

    • Click on Settings(Gear Icon) on the top right corner and then click on Personalize

    • Hover on any field that you want to hide/move and then click on the red flag that appears on the field -

    • Click on the flag to move/hide the field -

If you do not see the Personalize option in the Settings, then your profile has been disabled for Personalization. You can enable/disable it from the Profiles(Roles) page.

If you find it helpful, do mark it as verified.

    Hello,
Yes, you can do that with Personalize. Open the Purchase Order or the Posted Purchase Receipt page, go to Settings (gear icon) > Personalize, then you can drag columns to a new position or click a column and choose Hide. If you want a field back later, use + Field and add it again. This change is usually saved for you, so you don’t need to redo it every time for each PO; it applies to that page in your personal workspace across devices/browsers. If you want the same layout for all users, that’s not personalizing anymore, that needs an admin/profile customization.

    Hello,

You can try using the Personalize option from Settings in Business Central. You can remove all unnecessary fields from the Purchase Order page.
